What about Peter made girls want him so much?

Not just Sara and the hotel clerk were after him, but he also gets to bang whatever girl he wants before he goes on vacation, even when he wasn't trying. What about Big Peter made all the hotties come after him and want to sleep with him. How does he do it?!?!?!

Jason segel is extremely attractive. Not in a James Franco Hollywood kind of way, but in a hilarious and goofy, this-guy-makes-me-laugh kind of way; something a lot of women find much more desirable than a pretty face. There's no doubt in my mind that sluts from a bar would easily go home with him, or that a beautiful smart girl with her head on her shoulders (Mila's character) would fall in love with him.

He's a decent looking guy, 6'4" (very important), had a decent job, probably also had hookups for Hollywood events, made good money. Most girls would like him, Sarah didn't anymore because she was an up and coming actress who wanted someone that was higher status.

He's just bragging about himself to impress his ego.I bet most of it is not true. Some guys just want to put themselves on a pedestal.

He's also in LA, and clearly using his status as being involved with a well-known TV show to his advantage. I don't know if you're aware, but LA is full of shallow people.

Two things:

1 - it's the new trend in comedies - beta males get all the hot chicks

2 - he wrote the movie

The girls he banged before Hawaii were all kind of crazy weirdos. Anyone can have a one-night stand.

I did find it unfitting that he could get laid so easily. That made the whole movie a bit pointless. I mean, if getting girls was so easy for him, then why the big drama about being dumped by a girlfriend. He could get a new girlfriend in a heartbeat. The movie would have been more powerful if he had been the desperate creepy nerd kind of guy.

Yeah, however, Peter was advised by his friend (who was the kid doctor) to have all the meaningless sex while he could because he just got out of a longterm relationship with the same girl for 5 years. It made sense since the doctor saw this as a chance of freedom and to quit crying over her. Guys whining over their girlfriends breaking up with them tend to be annoying.

You mentioned he could get a new girlfriend in a heartbeat, but keep in mind he was still in love with Sarah at this point, his relationship ending with her was completely shocking. This wasn't the type of storyline where Peter was trying to prove to Sarah he was over her to make her jealous or whatever. He was still hurting over being dumped in a blind-sided fashion.

I do agree that I would've liked to see this same storyline though about a regular guy, not taking place anywhere else other than Hawaii or LA. It was so outlandish, and my girlfriend of three years dumped me for someone else in July 2008 (so sad, right?) the year the movie came out and as much as I could relate to the story, a regular guy like me didn't get laid until the following May. Funny part is they didn't last very long

Precisely. This is the only post that really gets it. This was a movie, folks.

rockstar.

Mila's character being attracted to him was probably the truly unbelievable part.

Her introduction to him is as the world-famous very beautiful Sarah Marshall's longtime boyfriend. I'd think that would carry a lot of weight.
