Am i the only one who thinks this movie is awesome!

I love this film. it has all the plot work right and I feel that I am the only person standing in a sinking boat. what is up with that! this film was incredible and I truly loved it. it was great acting from Ewan Mcgregor and Collin Farrel, none the less.

No, you are not alone....I have expressed many times that I enjoyed this film, and Ewan McGregor!!!

reply

of course you are not.... this movie is exellent..
Woody does it again....and again.

reply

I love it too, but did you see 'Before the Devil Know's you're Dead'. That is a flawless version of this movie.

Great Song! http://www.trippedandfalling.com/mp3/End%20Is%20Now.mp3
Pass it on.

This movie, in one word, was horrendous. It was depressing, pointless, and Colin Farrell's acting was terrible. The only reason I watched to the end was because of Ewan MacGregor.

This is civilization, dang it! Where the heck is the Starbucks?

I couldn't disagree more about Colin Farrell. I think this is his best interpretation ever.

reply

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Great cast, gripping story, excellent depiction of today's "get rich quick" culture.

I agree with this statement. I thought it was an excellent, well-made and incredibly engaging drama.

It was depressing you say? Well that's a good a reason to criticise a film if any. (Quick word of advice, don't watch A Requiem for a Dream.) And pointless? Well the best movies always have to make a point I guess.

We call this the Loom of Fate.

Are you serious? I thought his was equal to, if not greater than, MacGregor's.

I'm the guy who does his job, you must be the other guy.

My wife and I saw this movie last night, and we were both totally blown away with it. We both agreed that it was one of the best of its kind. It was extremely well-written, with sly and believable plot twists throughout. It paid homage to Hitchcock and Chabrol with great respect. It also had elements of Crime and Punishment and brought up the question of what are we actually capable of. The conflicts between the brothers, the duality of the uncle, the unforeseen details and coincidences, and the wonderful dialogue propelled this film and kept us totally rapt throughout. I agree with you that this film was totally awesome!!

reply

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion; I thought this movie had potential, but in the end, it was horrible. I am glad I have Blockbuster Movie Pass otherwise I'd be upset for wasting money and time.

reply

Thank You! People who actually see my opinion as a Well Rounded one. I loved this movie and will never forget it. I love you All!

Nope, you are not, thought the movie was great too!

That makes me smile!!!!!!

I thought it was quite good as well!
I fail to understand why these naysayers continue to follow Woody's career; you think his career is failing, he's lost his magic. Ok great, so why stick around to watch the train wreck? As for me, I think he is still making films that are better than most filmmakers working today. His body of work as a whole is inarguably brilliant, but I'm sure he'll never remake all those films that made him who he his.
I've said this before, but I love watching what he puts out not only because they are mostly good movies but just to see what's new with this genius' process and his stories and his method.
I actually thought this was better than match point.

It is so good. People like to talk trash about Woody because it makes them feel smart to talk down about a genius. Thank god it doesn't affect him at all and he keep pumping out films.

I love this movie so much I think i might have to steal it! LOL!!!!!!!!!

reply

No, for some reason that I can't quite fathom you don't appear to be the only person who thought the film was awesome.

For what it's worth I now rank this film as the worst film I've ever had the misfortune of watching and that's coming from someone who until recently loved Woody Allen's films. By recently, I mean up to "Match Point" which I also thought was terrible. Mr Allen should not be allowed to make another London-based film and should return to New York and what he knows best.

It is good to know someone elses oppinion! I respect that!!

reply

The is a wonderfully executed moral tragedy. Woody Allen did it again. If you love this movie, I would recommend you see Match Point also if you haven't.

reply

THanks I will!!!!!!!!!
