Meryl Streep would have had to have been at least 40 when she had her daughter and it just doesn't fit with the time line, dammit.
sharealthough the timeline is supposed to be set in the 90's, i agree that meryl streep did look a little old for the part even then. we're judging the character of donna on meryl streep when you should think of her being 40. i thought donna was 20 when she had sophie?
