Since Summer Glau is in this...

Since Summer Glau (Serenity/Firefly) is in this, it's sure to bring in a number of watchers who would otherwise turn away. She had a brilliant role as River Tam in Joss Whedon's series and follow up movie, but she let down fans with her part in the SciFi Channel original "Mammoth." (Not that she had all that much to work with.) I suppose the question is, how many of you will see this, not because it looks interesting (it does), but merely because of Ms. Glau's attachment to the project?

She's why I paid attention to the ABC Family advertisements. But not even Jennifer Tilly being involved would make me go out of my way to see it.

If it had been Nathan Fillion, of course, I'd have to see it. He's the reason I'll be buying Slither in a few days.

Well I was flipping through the channels when I saw her. I didn't know about this movie. But, yes, she's the only reason I'll keep it on. lol

I loved Serenity. I own it and saw it in theatures when it was out.

flipping through channels and saw Summer. I stopped just to see the next scene with her to see if it was really her. Ended up watching most of the rest of it for that reason only (didn't really think it was a good movie). So I guess the answer is some people have.

Wow! I thought she was gonna get axed halfway through the movie. I thought she was funny but she looks so different with make-up. Im so used to seeing her as River, wavy hair, no make-up, and crazy. haha

Exactly, Hybrid! The role of River is what distinguishes Summer as a brilliant actress. I mean, I could name about five girls from my high school who could have easily played Lindsey. NONE OF THEM could even come close to playing River as well as Summer.

Because River was crazy, innocent, and creepy all at the same time. Except thrice in the movie when she became a berserker. Any actress who can do half as well as Summer did in a role as demanding as that of River is a better actress than I've ever met.

In case of fighting zombies/Reavers/Infecteds/seemingly unkillable mutants, AIM FOR THE HEAD!!!

I sat through Mammoth for her...I guess that means I'll watch anything she is in.

I watched this bad movie because of Mika Boorem.

Summer Glau has been in some good stuff, but she is a very poor actress. She has stunk in everything she has been in that Joss Whedon hasn't been involved with.
