Loved it

I wasnt expecting much but I really loved this film. I think anyone with kids can appreciate the themes/messages and Eddie Murphey definately delivers. The funniest was the kid in the ball pit!

I absolutely adored this movie. And I don't even have any kids. I loved everything about it. The little girl was amazing and Eddie Murphy was hysterically funny, as usual.
I think that the folks who hated this movie just don't know how to use their imaginations. They prefer movies with special effects where no imagination is needed.

I just think ppl that hate the movie are just Eddie Murphy haters period. Because he was so big in the 80's when he did adult comedy - People get disappointed when they don't fall out the chair laughing at his 2000's movies.

But if they pay attention to the movie it self (the plot, the story, etc,)and not look for Eddie to get into a time machine and become the raunchy stand up comedian he used to be they'd appreciate it more.

The only Eddie Murphy movies I can say I honestly thought was garbage was Haunted Mansion,Pluto Nash, BHC III, and I thought Showtime would have been better if it had more action, than comedy. - I even thought Vampire in Brooklyn was.....ok, but overall he hasn't done as many bad movies as ppl say he has.

I mean ppl hate Norbit, but thought he was brilliant in BowFinger. The characters Norbit and the Nerd in Bowfinger are almost the same character.

I've got kids the same age and I liked the movie and the theme of the story, but I didn't think it was a good movie with Murphy. It feels like anyone could have played his role, it just didn't feel like he brought much more to it that someone 'lesser' could have.
