Just wondering which episode/s of Meerkat Manor do you think are the saddest.

To me the saddest episode of MM is the one where Flower is biten by the snake and Dies. I never cried but I did have tears in my eyes and I had to wipe them with a handkechief. Flower was a great leader and she is missed by many fans of the show including myself.

The second saddest episode is the one where flower's twin 4 week old pups Ren and Stumpy died. Ren gets taken by a bird and poor little Stumpy gets left behimd in the middle of the desert, very sad indeed.

I agree with Rattierules when he (or she) said in another post in another thread that season 3 is very sad.

I think one of the saddest episodes is "Sibling Rivalry" in which Punk viciously seizes dominance over Lola, the long-time leader of the Zappa gang. Lola had been bitten by a puff adder and struggled to make it back to the burrow only to be attacked by Punk.Lola didn't die, but witnessing the agony she endured was very sad, indeed! I think if Lola had been strong enough, she would have been able to fight back which made the incident sadder.
She was so obviously injured, that showing the prolonged attack and seeing others join in was unnecessary, and the beginning of the END for this series.
This occurred in the third season and as others have said, the third season was very sad. An audience of mostly children can understand that death is harsh, but I think the producers and writers should have spared us some of the brutality, especially since they were inventing much of the story line at that point. By the end of the third season there was a death in nearly every episode and the show became barely watchable.
