The Saddest MM Episode/s

Just wondering which episode/s of Meerkat Manor do you think are the saddest.

To me the saddest episode of MM is the one where Flower is biten by the snake and Dies. I never cried but I did have tears in my eyes and I had to wipe them with a handkechief. Flower was a great leader and she is missed by many fans of the show including myself.

The second saddest episode is the one where flower's twin 4 week old pups Ren and Stumpy died. Ren gets taken by a bird and poor little Stumpy gets left behimd in the middle of the desert, very sad indeed.

I agree with Rattierules when he (or she) said in another post in another thread that season 3 is very sad.

I cried when Mozart died..I hated that Wilson for seducing her then leaving her to die.
Then when Youssarrian left one of Mozarts cubs behind after the battle it died...I cried then and ofcourse when flower died...my heart wept for her.

I agree with both of you, they were very sad moments, I was hoping mozart would be let back into her family or wilson would stay with her and start their own group, I would love to see the versions they aired in the UK, because some of these names I have never heard of and never saw Rocketdog get hit by a car, they stopped airing in the USA before that happened, 2008 here they started showing reruns until last month and they were from 06/and 07.

The death of Mozart. She never could catch a break in life.

My entire existence was constructed by a sociopath in a sweater vest. What do YOU suggest I do?

reply

I have to say the death of Flower was for me the saddest. To this day when AP airs the episode where she dies, "A Journey's End", I turn it off the last 8 minutes because it just upsets me so much to see her dieing!

But also Mozart's death was upsetting to me too! Jossynda is right Mozart never could catch a break!

But as already stated here, Rattiesrules is right, season 3 is terribly sad!

The life of Mozart is one sad episode. The dynamic and tragic relationship between Mozart and Flower was driving the show to great emotional height. After they both passed away, it was never the same again.

Yes, I always felt terrible for Mozart. However, it is somewhat heartening that her daughter, Sophie, was a prominent member of the Whiskers by the end of the series.

Shakespeare's death made me cry too. He was so brave for such a tiny animal. It was nice to see his legacy carried on in little brother Mitch and to some extent, Mitch's rescue/adoptee Axel.

I agree, Flower's death was heartbreaking because she'd been around for so long but I'd say brave little Shakespeare passing away was the saddest stand-alone moment

For me, the episode: "Three Degrees of Separation" (I think that is the title) is an incredibly sad one for me. It is tough to just pick one, but this one is up there.

For me it's the one where Flower dies. I teared up! I forgot........how did Mozart die?

reply

Flower was bitten while trying to evict a snake from their burrow. Sick from the poison, she instigated a den move, which helped the poison spread throughout her body and take hold. She lingered some days before succumbing.

The same thing happened to Rocket Dog at the close of the series, but she recovered. They suspended filming to allow Rocket Dog to heal, but then she got hit by a car. The show never came back.

Mozart was predated. On the show it shown as if a jackal had attacked her, but according to the Meerkat wiki that was actually a female from the Vivian (Commando) clan.

From the site: Mozart's fight for survival came to a tragic end when she was killed by a bird of prey on April 16, 2007
