Hirsch's performance was hugely snubbed

I mean he didn't even receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. I don't give much weight to Oscars anymore, but it would have been nice if they recognised him. Looks like they got it wrong yet again.

Hiirsch should have been nominated for Lead Actor, and Hal Holbrook for Supporting Actor. Holbrook's performance put a tear in my eye, a lump in my throat, a knot in my stomach. He was superior, as always.

Rumor has it that he hasn't always behaved like a perfect gent and had smade enemies, which might be why his career never took off.

Or maybe it was "Speed Racer".
