The 13th anniversary.

It's a little too slick looking for my taste (though other times dark and unfocused with a forgettable musical score), but it's still probably the most straightforwardly entertaining of the bunch next to Part VI. It's just better paced than most and has some awesome sequences.

-The best prologue of the series.

-Brutal, drawn-out kills. Perhaps inspired by Saw and Hostel?

-The most shamelessly sex obsessed of the series.

-The Bree character: Her dance, sex scene and endless death - all wonderfully politically incorrect.

-When the lights go out and Jason is trying to draw them out of the cabin is one of my favorite sequences of the series.

-The Whitney subplot is something we're never seen before in this series. For me, it works because they don't push it.

Damn 13 years to the day...I'll probably rewatch it tonight to commemorate. 13 years since a F13 film was released...tragic.

It's one of the better entries in the franchise for me. It takes everything that makes a F13 film (body count, nudity, teen caricatures) and dials it up full tilt.
