The pill (spoilers)
I don't understand what happenned when they took the pill. Did they really take it or did she just give him a fake one to see if was really willing to die?
shareThey did not take the poison pills; those were some other pills. There was even a close-up showing the two fatal pills in some kind of shrine.
They obviously fell for each other and decided not to kill (poison) themselves. And they lived happily ever after.

It is strange but the pills in the shrine looked purple and those from the diner were a sort of grey but the pills they took in bed were black.
