This Movie was Terrible (spoilers)...

What a waste of time and money. I got a few questions for the makers of this film:

1. Why do the cannibals talk like cave men?
2. When the sheriff was talking to them, why do they seem to understand each other?
3. How many times can one person be captured and escape?
4. How many times can one person keep going back to the cave?
5. Why does the girl who gets cut in half blink long after she's been dead?
6. If the guy that had his hands chained could move his arms, why didn't he just unscrew the locks?
7. Why do most characters have names in the cast list but are never said in the movie?
8. Why in the DVD extras did everyone seem to mention parts of the movie that never happened?
9. Did these "actors" actually get paid?
10. Did 90% of the script fly out the car window while driving to the set?

Got to agree with you. I saw this last night because a so-called friend said I should watch it. Oh dear, probably the worst film I've ever seen and I'll never get that hour and a half back!

Friends don't let friends watch horror movies this bad. :)

There's a whole level of bad that's fun to make fun of but this passess that level and goes to just awful.

I can go ya one better: I watched it twice. :)

It's like a car accident, I just can't look away. It's kinda like thoes lame cavemen movies they used to do in the 50's.

Why do the cannibals talk like cave men?

The vengeful man in cammies said they were inbred. That plus living in the desert wilderness for several generations preying on the flesh of travelers, they developed their own primitive dialect or language. In short, they degenerated during their many decades in isolation.

When the sheriff was talking to them, why do they seem to understand each other?

The sheriff had become buddies with them over the years and understood their simple language.

How many times can one person be captured and escape?

Linda didn't really escape the first time; the cannibal (who would become chief by the last act) took a liking to her and let her go. She was captured later trying to save her beau, but escaped by smashing the chief over the head with a rock while he was trying to have sex with her.

How many times can one person keep going back to the cave?

Two or three times. She was intent on saving her captured beau since they were in love and she was idealistic about their future together.

Why does the girl who gets cut in half blink long after she's been dead?

Posthumous body spasm.

If the guy that had his hands chained could move his arms, why didn't he just unscrew the locks?

He was seriously traumatized and wounded by the cavegirl's knife. Plus his arms were hanging up in chains for so long he lacked circulation for proper movement.

Why do most characters have names in the cast list but are never said in the movie?

Because people who know each other well don't constantly cite each other's names. It added a sense of realism.

Why in the DVD extras did everyone seem to mention parts of the movie that never happened?

I didn't see the DVD extras, but these scenes were obviously left on the cutting room floor.

Did these "actors" actually get paid?

It was a low-budget mockbuster of the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes," costing $600,000. Since the locations were one-dimensional -- shot at Calico Ghost Town north of Yermo, a two-hour drive northeast of Los Angeles in the desert high country -- there was enough money to pay the cast, which featured only like seven roles with significant screentime.

Did 90% of the script fly out the car window while driving to the set?

No, the script was relatively short since there wasn't much dialogue.
