amazon canoe episode, last night

This selfish guy should have definately died. First of all, he leaves his guides in the middle of the night and takes their canoe to save himself. Who knows what happened to them. Did the miners kill them? Did he ever follow up and find out if they made it to safety? Then his dog somehow survives by itself in the amazon (no small feat). The dog didn't ask to be an adventurer. It survives the rapids, tracks him down only to end up as dinner. My real question is that we only have this guy's account of what happened. Maybe he killed his two guides, made up a story about the miners and ate his dog after the second day. Who's going to question him?

I'm with you - I think he made most of the story up.

For me when i see him killing his dog i got so pissed.... my question is if it was his some family member will he kill to eat them? probabily not... so this guy dont love his dog.. i was able to die without killing my animals that because i love them. my dogs are so important like my family!

Sometimes, it's unfortunate when a person's true colors come out.

I strongly disagree with the people trying to excuse this *beep* behavior by saying that he was just running on survival instinct. BS, this douche is a textbook example of a sociopath.

As for Cashew(and alot of other dogs)...his only fault was putting his trust in a human. Dogs are too dang loyal, usually to their detriment. It saddens me that this poor dog spent weeks trying to find his prick owner, only for his self-proclaimed "best friend" to turn around and butcher him(for no reason, it turned out).

I was SO dissapointed that this "un-emotional but logical" creep survived. And if he ever gets another dog, I hope someone offs him.

once I read the guy eats his own dog in the summary I couldn't watch this episode. and now after reading this I don't want to even more, not that I needed the extra incentive. (ya Im also the kinda guy that can watch 100 people get killed in a movie but tear up if 1 dog dies)

Also this has no similarities to what happened in the crash in the Andes. What they did was very much different. They did not kill anybody and eat them. They only ate the people that died from the wreck or afterwards due to injuries, the avalanche or from sickness. The Benedict Allen is a total *beep* for butchering his dog. I'm no PITA nutjob, just a person with compassion. He put his dog there. And it was his dog who paid the price. Here is Benedict Allen's facebook page
