What are Pix wings made of? | Show gets better near the end

So for those that are starting out, hold firm to see some HP Lovecraft loving creatures.

I'm still trying to figure out what the Fae/Pix(ie) wings are made out of. When a Pix dies, their wings turn white like dead skin but are colorful when the fae is alive (can also apparently glow when having sex). The only thing I could think of for this this type of living tissue could be that of foreskin on a penis. The wings also don't grow back when cutoff and don't bleed when stabbed (from what I could remember). I'm not sure how it hardens/stiffens when flying but goes limp and soft when not. What do you think?

What the hell is your foreskin made of? :-)

They look like dragonfly or damselfly wings, which are made of chitin threaded through with numerous veins. They would only bleed if punctured in the right places, though they are always stiff, unlike fae wings. Faes' flying abilities are also clearly modelled on dragonflys', being able to hover.

Never knew dragonfly/damselfly wings could bleed... always just thought they were like any other insect wings that are translucent with diagrams on them be it house fly or whatnot.

All fairies can do this I think. I've not seen a fairy tale where fairies couldn't hover and switch directions on whim. This is why I think these are not normal type of wings that you would see normally see elsewhere since they can stiffen like an erect penis when they needed to fly and go soft when they're not. They also can give off strange auroras given the emotions a fae has like glowing when fucking someone they like. XD
