Annie and Mr. X

I felt so sad for Annie when Alexandra caught her and Mr. X in the kitchen together. Life wasn't perfect for her with the family but for her to lose her relationship with Grayer and be sent away in a taxi cab with a measly $40?

My heart really went out to her and she looked so heartbroken packing her bags and crying in the back of the taxi as she left.

I wish Alexandra hadn't discovered the two of them. From the moment they arrived in Nantucket I'd been waiting for Annie and Mr. X to have a moment alone, and was really hoping they'd get the chance to conduct an affair while in such a romantic location.

In my ideal version of the movie, what started in the kitchen of the summer house in Nantucket would continue all summer and, once they return to New York and it is revealed that Alexandra had faked her pregnancy, Mr. X will have strong grounds for leaving her once and for all.

Annie now no longer has financial problems or worries about pursuing a career, and no longer has to rely on the kindness of Lynette or Hayden. Even better, she still gets to continue being Grayer's nannie *and* Mr. X's lover, moving into the big bedroom too and finally getting to have it all.
