Laugh Track is Deafening

I'm finally watching The Internet is Coming and can't help but notice how the laugh track dominates the show and is louder than the dialog. It's been a few years since I've watched the show, has the laugh track always been so loud?

It was a live audience.

I wonder if perhaps they individually miked each audience member to capture each cacophonous wave of laughter, and if they brought the audience out to the street and the coffee shop when they filmed. Either way I enjoyed the episode.

Fake or live, it's too loud, and it's distracting. Comedy shows with no audience noise work better. We don't require a cue to realize that something is funny.
