Funniest moment?

What do you consider the funniest moment/situation out of all the episodes? For me it's when Moss throws the coffee to Roy thinking it's empty for a joke when it isn't, followed closely by the Gay musical.

reply

I'm pretty much in agreement on the wheelchair bit. Roy's humiliation was priceless. The buildup to Jen talking to Roy only to find Moss working concession was brilliant. Plus, the the guy finally admitted he was gay because she casually mentioned the magazine (not even interrogating him anymore) was just icing. I do think it's the best episode of the series.

The cup bit was pretty great too! I didn't exactly mind Roy being shirtless for most of that episode.

I'd also have to add Roy slapping the cop to avoid him spoiling the movie. Also in that same episode, "I have to go to the toilet," "Then go." The reveal that it's only a few feet away was perfect.

I'm surprised no one brought up Moss giving Jen the internet. Honestly, that had me in stitches.

reply

"This, Jen, is the internet."

That epsiode is one of my favourites, and the whole scene with Moss and Roy showing Jen the internet was priceless.

reply

The bit shortly afterwards, where the fight crashes through the wall and crushes the "internet", Graham Linehan himself pops up and screams: "OH MY GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" had me in stitches!!

The Heat breakdown was so great and then when he mentions he thought he could make it work because she sort of looks like a man(callback), my sides went to outer space

When Roy is tutoring Moss on comebacks after he is getting picked on by some bullies at the park

Roy: NICE GLASSES
Moss: Yeah, well, mabey the reason that I wear glasses is...ughh....cause I suffer from SHORTSITEDNESS! and I ca-can't wear contacts...because I'm...SCARED OF TOUCHING MY EYE!

Always gets me in stitches :D

THe countdown one with the countdown groupies. I laugh just remembering it.

Mentor: You've been challenged to Street COuntdown (gasps)
Moss: What's street countdown.

Mentor: - well - it's like ordinary Countdown - but you can get a bit cold.

:-)

And Moss getting into the crane booth game to get the iphone.

"Y0u don't understand Jen - I'll be getting an iphone without haveing to give Apple any money.
Itt's living the dream!"

It's hard to pick one out - Douglas buying the 'love potion' from the old Shaman -
and the Richmond episodes.
I loved those too.

Or Roy and Moss trying to speak 'football' in the pub.

Loved the whole thing actually.

all the parts where Roy was going mad trying to figure out how his girlfriend's parents could have possibly died in a fire at a sealion show

reply

The episode where Douglass teaches aerobics.

Might be my favorite episode.

My favourite scene is the "soviet" smoking scenes, and the dramatic journey to the "new smoking zone."

My favourite moment is when Richmond gives Renholm's mother the Cradle Of Filth CD, and the camera just looks at Renholm's face. His look is just so.... any words to describe it?

reply

The soviet smoking scenes were absolutely brilliant, second only to Roy's leg disability in the Gay episode for me.

I also loved any moment involving Richmond. "Goths are people, too."

reply

I second that! As a smoker I could totally relate... :D

reply

By far the funniest moment of the show has to be the one where moss reboots!!! waking up and regaining his memory to the windows reboot sound.

here is the clip:

GENIUS!!

reply

he got scurvey.

The soviet part!

As a person that I used to live in Prague, it was very funny to see this episode for the first time last winter. When Jen goes to smoke for the first time and she finds everything so cold, the depressed faces of the people, and the angry dog, I thought "wow, this looks like a bus station of Prague" and then "Jorg" comes in :D

reply

Hahaha yes!! This scene was brilliant.
Too many hilarious moments to mention them all, but this was one of my favorites.

those Jen's interviews (with Denholm in first episode, and again when she tried to get a new job and was asked to explain IT).

That tnetennba is a word.

that conversation Moss had with that window-cleaner guy outside this apartment, and inside his apartment.

also Richmond cooing was pretty laughable.

hundreds more, i think.

When Moss starts "making out" with Roy when the police were passing by to catch the robbers. And also when Moss randomly pulls out the stack of pounds that he took from them
