The original One Missed Call wasn't that good. A lot better than this movie, sure, but certainly not one of Miike's better films.

The original was better. Hell is now freezing over because Battle Royale is being remade and I LOVE Battle Royale. Start watching Nightmare Detective before that gets ruined by Hollywood

Why does everyone view remakes as Big Bad America crushing Asian movies and stealing rights and profiting from the movies. If Asian producers don't want us to do remakes and if they don't have faith in our ability to produce remakes why do they still SELL their scriprs and the rights? Seriously people...shut the hell up. If you don't like the movies stop watching them.

@aja123-1 you say :
"If Asian producers don't want us to do remakes and if they don't have faith in our ability to produce remakes why do they still SELL their scriprs and the rights?"

Because they can use the money to produce some more ORIGINAL horror screenplay that Hollywood will then just BUY OUT and force feed to their teenage audience as vehicle for up and coming stars.

If you make a good movie in another country and Hollywood wants to buy the rights, you say GIMME SOME OF THAT EASY MONEY, because your movie *which will stay better will still exists and it will allow you to move on to another project.

Continue making remakes. They might suck, but listening to japanese girls talking their jibber jabber, just isn't a turn-on for everyone.

Now stop trying to force you will on others, you imbicilic prick, and go watch Ju-on.
