PLEASE! DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE! THIS MOVIE SUCKS!

I never post anything on IMDB about movies...but I had to stop and say something here. Perhaps I can save someone else from making the same mistake I did.

OK...you guys have got to be kidding me. Why are there so many people on here talking about how great this movie is? Are you guys on drugs? Or did the makers of this film pay a bunch of people to put fake posts on here to trick people into wasting their time and money on this movie?

Where I live we have machines at the grocery store where you can rent movies for a dollar a day. I saw this movie in there and thought it sounded horrible. But after reading some of these posts I decided to give it a shot. Wow, did I make a mistake.

I knew it was gonna be bad when I watched the previews for the other movies done by Maverick Entertainment. They all looked like absolute garbage. So I'm thinking "How does a company that puts out nothing but turds end up doing a good movie? This is gonna suck." Yup. This movie absolutely SUCKS.

One of the reviews claims this movie has "clever dialogue." Are you joking? Yeah, maybe if you compare it to quality dramas such as Melrose Place or Gilmore Girls. The acting was terrible and the story line was so overplayed, boring and idiotic that I wanted to cry. I felt absolutely nothing for the characters except pity that they subjected themselves to this type of public embarrassment.

And, I kinda hate to take a cheap shot, but another post talks specifically about how "hot" the lead actress is. Man, STOP IT! Are you serious? I mean really. When Aaron is talking to Michelle and comparing her to the girl in She's All That I wanted to get up and hit someone. No, the girl in She's All That was hot. This girl is NOT. Not at all. Not slightly. Just...stop it. Seriously. Stop it.

The way these posts read, I'm really leaning toward thinking these posts are put up by fake people. And I'm sure all these "movie experts" are gonna jump all over me, but I don't care. Everyone has an opinion and if these posts are actually put up by real people then these are people who's opinions are completely opposite of mine and, therefore, people who's opinions are completely null to me. I just can't bring myself to believe that people liked this movie enough to create all these posts. If these are fake posts...you guys should be ashamed of yourself. Someone owes me a dollar. Plus tax.

C-Town.

Yeah, this movie sucked, I don't understand why people think it's good, the acting was terrible, it's too predictable and the sound and picture quality was extremely poor.

reply

But when people say how bad a movie is.. it just makes me want to see it.

If you went into this expecting a budget of a Hollywood blockbuster horror movie you were sadly mistaken. If you're a fan of independent film and low-budget cinema then you learn to let certain things slide and just try to enjoy the story for what it is. So what if a few lines of dialogue don't flow so well, so what if the cinematography isn't that great... making a film is not easy. If you think this is one of the worst films you've ever seen you should definitely broaden your view.

I couldn't agree more.

It's more like someones film class project!

The only reason I watched (in agony I might add) the entire thing was because I hate to switch off any movie before the end and because the story itself had validity in the beginning... and I wanted to see what she did the them, but the acting was really hard to take and the lead actress was NEVER hot at any point in this film.

Made me laugh so hard!

Sorry about your friend.

I definitely liked the first half of the movie more than the last. The party scenes and the writing following the rape was the movie's stronger points.

It turned into a slasher film after that (which makes sense, that's what they were going for) I just thought the setup would've been better suited for a drama and not so much a slasher.

I just watched the movie on Hulu out of boredom. I had never heard of it, but I've found many "hidden gems" on Hulu and Netflix, so decided to give it a shot. I guess I wasn't expecting much out of this movie. You can tell its a cheesy low budget film within the first 2 minutes. I wouldn't say it was horrible, but it definitely wasn't good. If you get through the first few minutes, you may as well watch the whole thing. It was a very predictable story, with "older looking" actors playing high school students. There was a bad 80s horror film vibe going on. This movie is a ripoff of "I Spit on your Grave" and "Descent" (A movie starring Rosario Dawson and Chad Faust). If you watch the ending of the movie Descent, you will know what I'm talking about. Both movies are on Netflix now. I think I Spit on Your Grave was a pretty good effort for it's time though.

I won't tell you to skip this movie, but if you've seen one rape revenge movie, you have seen them all.
