300 was really good. at the Battle of Thermopylae there were only 300 spartans and an allience of other greek city states. the difference is that 300 isnt about whites prevailing over blacks. the movie "pride" is.watch the commmercial. the black guy says "i know how you white folks get when you lose"

what about Bring It On? wasn't that a movie about white cheerleaders prevailing against the black cheerleaders?I haven't seen that movie but since judging what race gets what treatment in a movie before even seeing it goes rampant here might as well assume myself. anyways, the movie seems to take place back in the days where whites wouldn't give blacks a chance. if it bothers you then don't watch it and don't even post on the thread.

Actually the white team lost in Bring it on, the black team won. But it all worked out in the end since they ended up with mutual respect and appreciation. Why can't life be more like Bring It On? Black and whites coming together to celebrate their mutual jail-bait hotness.

Just for the record Klitscho is handled by a predominantly black stable of handlers and Ali relied heavily upon Angelo Dundee, therefore so much of the time it is not a white and black issue. Even in this movie Terrence's character was initially consoled by a white coach. It seemed realistic that many years later the character would remember him fondly even if he wasn't a part of his life in the present where the movie takes place.

Well, DBDante, you seem to be confused about what racism means. Racism is believing that one race is superior to another. What many white posters have objected to is that this movie portrays Whites as evil morally corrupt racist individuals and portrays Blacks as morally SUPERIOR nonracist individuals.
Since racism is a quality that the world considers negative, saying that one race is racist is like saying that it has more negative qualities and is therefore inferior.
The problem that I have with this movie is that it shows NO DIVERSITY. It doesn't have a mixture of white racists and nonracists NOR does it have a mixture of black racists and nonracists. In the 1970s, there was that type of diversity so the movie is not representative of the era.
