what do coen brothers fans think of this movie

One of their favorites or one of their least favorites or in the middle?

I enjoyed it. I wasn't my Favorite but it was still good.

I put this one in my top third, just after Barton Fink.

bottom third
it had some brains, and some comedic bits, but none of the middle-ground stuff that makes a story really function

It was in the middle for me. Nowhere near as awful as Burn After Reading and Inside Llyewylln Davis, which I despise.

In terms of a Coen Brother's movie? It's pretty middle of the road. Don't get me wrong, I liked it and I've always said that even a bad movie by the Coens is still a good movie.

Josh Brolin was really good in it. George Clooney was at his George Clooneyest and he's always enjoyable in these movies. I enjoyed the guy that played Hobie, sorry that I don't know his name, and there wasn't really a bad performance out of the group.

The biggest problem I had was the movie played out more like a series of vignettes linked by the narrative instead of feeling like something more cohesive. I'd have to agree with the current score of a seven for this movie. It's good, it's just not one of their best.

i would place it under the middle of the bottom below the ocean floor on the middle of the top of the middle of the underside of the core of the center of the earth

I would place it somewhere in the middle.

This movie had so much potential, but really fell flat, especially in the end with Channing Tatum's character.

Josh Brolin was amazing, and he should get an Oscar for his portrayal. He, at least in my opinion, carried the entire movie throughout. Clooney felt to me like he was just going through the motions. Scarlett Johhanson's character was underutilized, and I expected more for the entire rest of the cast.

Again, I think that Josh Brolin deserves some Oscar love for this movie, but the movie itself shouldn't.

Yay! The crazy person is here!
