Why do people think Ben Foster was miscast?

I am surprised to see some on this board complaining he was miscast.

Ben Foster nailed the part. He was excellent.

There are a few things about this film I did not like. I think the original was better.

But Ben Foster was outstanding. Jason Statham was good too. They looked right for their roles and worked well together.

He comes across as a weakling, disturbed and unreliable, three reasons why he would not have the necessary sang-froid to be a professional assassin.

I actually thought that worked to his strength. He's not who you would expect.
