Being a sucker for pirate stuff, I could not pass this up.
It was good, but not great.

SPOILERS

The lead actor was ok. Nothing special, more like the run of the mill kind of hero. However, I thought Angus McFadyen did well as Blackbeard. It does seem he over acted a lot, but I enjoyed his take on Blackbeard nonetheless. Jessica Chastain was just lovely.

The production and sets were great.

All in all an enjoyable 3 hours.
