I watched Gone Baby Gone and I can honestly say I have never seen a movie where a single actor can completely ruin a movie; the plot was interesting, Freeman and Harris were great and the ONLY thing that made me hate that movie was Casey Affleck. Dunno bout you guys, but I just don't think he can act, so never mind why he's in this movie, why does he even have a career?! Big brother pulling strings much..?

His forte is exuding pathos. He was correctly, no make that perfectly, cast.

shareI agree!! He's such a mush mouth and has the personality of a dish rag. Gone, Baby , Gone was such a great book. I may not have agreed with the character, but he had personality. Casey was just blergh.
I'd check out other movies with him in it as long as he isn't the main character.
Disagree. I thought Affleck nailed it. He was amazingly funny as the neurotic airhead and endearing in how obsessed he was with the safety of his unborn baby. I thought the casting in this film was 100% flawless.
sharei like casey alright in serious movies but he really didnt fit in this at all
