Just a tip to the ones that said they're "not racist," if you use the word "look" or the phrase "doesn't look right together," dictates that there is a visual objection. If you weren't racially inept, you'd know that these types of phrases have always been used in the past to hide racist disapproving of interracial or specific interracial pairings.

As others have mentioned, both actors look to be the similar age group if you didn't already know their real ages. Therefore, everyone is fully entitled to insinuate that you're a racist.

exsqueeze me? what has EITHER done to show themselves as a good actor/actress? one is not considered good because they did a good job in one movie. the closest thing to a good job you can credit Hayden for is when she was younger for her role in Remember The Titans, but even then she wasn't stellar or anything. just adequate. the truth is, the reason America frowns on all of this age difference stuff is that they don't want to admit their attractions for fear of repurcussions or flat out exile from friends and family as a "pervert" or "pedophile". that's not to say that there shouldn't be rules to protect those underage from predators, but recent reports have shown that teenage girls age 14-17 are more predatory than boys of their same age, and believe you me they will certainly use that to their advantage with a male or female they determine are attracted to them at any age.

Hayden is a pretty face with a nice body. period. well, by American standards anyway. her looks are why she's plastered on TV commercials and teeny-bopper flicks. this film is a romantic comedy. the recipe calls for an attractive man and an attractive woman with some sort of deficiency that should keep a relationship from formingt hat the two eventually overcome in some fashion. they are, in fact, perfectly cast. what we will find out is can either of these actors play a comedic role? do they have timing and can they generate chemistry? whether they are meant to have a romantic entanglement is besides the point.

and yeah, GREAT example. i certinaly don't remember reading any posts like this on Scarlett or Bill's boards when Translation came out, or on Jessica or Bruce's site when Sin City came out (though granted she wasn't under age, but there is a substantial age difference). Age means nothing where true love is concerned. the only thing that should require consideration of age is motivation. a man or woman seeking to start a relationship with an underage child simply because that is who they are attracted to, the minors need to be protected. an actual relationship that was not sought but just developed over time, there shouldn't be any issues with. i do agree with prosecution of the older party for any sexual relations with a minor though, no matter how the relationship formed, unless parents consented to a marriage of the two, as did the minor.

Ken looks OK from a number of views but i think the opening close-up scene killed it for me.
