Go on admit it: It was boring

Look, I liked the film (6/10) but it wasn't as good as I expected it to be.

I know the movie is not following Hollywood conventions of what a movie should be, and I appreciate that, but couldn't they have told a more INTERESTING story?
Bits of it were interesting but then lots of bits were boring too. I just dont' see why it won so many AFI awards.

Saying that, I do hope to see more 'aboriginal' storytelling on film.

Boring's not the right word for me. I was engaged the whole way through, waiting to find out what had happened to the woman and what the significance of the story was. The problem was there didn't seem to be any deep significance though, besides what's been mentioned. Still enjoyed it though.

I know you are, you said you are, but what am I?

I thought this film was interesting and kept me engaged throughout, although I felt some scenes were superfluous. Overall, I was pleased and enjoyed the light, humorous quality to the storytelling.

Not at all. I was sad to see it come to an end. A fantastic, engaging film by all means in my view.

Yes it was quite boring, though at the same time oddly watchable. The acting wasn't the best but OK we can let that slide, the main problem I feel was the choice of story.

well the reason is obvious

I hate when people say "go on, admit it" when they think a particular way about something. Not everyone thinks the same way, not everyone has the sames tastes and not everyone would have the same reaction to this movie. I did not find the movie boring at all. The OP did. That's final.

Yeah, it's a good bedtime story

No, it was not boring at all. I think everyone who has "anthropological tendencies" (interested in traditional cultures) will find this movie very interesting.

I agree. But I also think that at times the pace of the film could be described as being somewhat languid.
