2.6?? That's why the I in IMDB means 'Inaccurate'

Can't believe this has got a very low rating. It was a good thing I didn't visit this site before I watched it because I would've been turned off. But, men, I enjoyed this movie through and through! Adam Campbell and Eddie Griffin were hilarious. I laughed all through out the movie.

Don't believe the rating, guys. Go watch this movie. I'll give this 7 of 10

I am 17, I didn't like it, but I didn't absolutely hate it like I did with that excrement Disaster Movie.

And it's users like you that are messing up the ratings in the first place.

This movie is universally hated along with everybody involved with it who continually release this garbage on the world. Actors need to be aware that careers have been ruined by movies such as this.

If you like it, that's fine but you need to accept that this movie is disgustingly bad, with awful acting, no laughs and an obvious attempt at making as much money in the cinema, by not showing it to critics before it's release, so they knew this was going to be bad themselves and wanted to reap as much of the money before word got around.

This goes for everything else the team behind this movie has released.

The OP is right, the 2.6 rating is inaccurate.

It should have 0.1 stars.

I rated this movie a 5 out of 10. I laughed at some of the jokes, I just think the film makers didn't know when to end a joke and that is what pretty much killed it for me.

Imdb isn't inaccurate nor is Date movie underrated, you are just in the minority which happened to like this pile of crap.

reply

Why would the I in IMDB mean 'Inaccurate'? It's just the average of what people voted. 45% of all voters gave it 1 star.

People can have their own opinions about the movies. IMDB rating isn't based on your preferences.

I think the movie is overrated on IMDB.

2.6 is about right - it's not the worst movie I've ever seen, its near namesake Epic Movie takes that title IMO, but it is pretty dire. I laughed once, the Jinxers using the crapper scene (and that's only because I have a strange immaturity about toilet humour), although to be fair that is one laugh more than I got out of Epic movie.

I felt nauseous through most of it, the cat with the runs, the J Lo Bum scenes, the zit on the wedding day, mayonnaise and on and on. I didn't laugh at anything, just stupid jouvenile "humour" tring too hard.

The only inaccuracy here is that 2.6 is way to flattering for this garbage.

this movie sux badly, I was amazed at how there was no build-up to the jokes and how random and stupid the "jokes" were. Showing Alyson Hannigan as Darth Vader and having a midget look like Yoda doesn't make sense and isn't "random-funny" it's just stupid. Seriously it's like 5th graders decided to make a movie and tried to put as many random things into 1½ hour as humanly possible. I guess humour is individual but really Date Movie!? I'm sometimes ashamed of the things I laugh at but really when you watch a random clip on youtube that lasts 2 min then it's okay, but this is just a random clip that lasts 1½ hour which is too long.

I'm a fan of Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, The Office UK & US, South Park until season 8.., Seinfeld, Duckman, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Sealab 2011, Venture bros.
Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Shot 1 & 2, Princess Bride, The Naked Gun, Marx Brothers.

I did not find this film particularly amusing but I tend to agree that a 2.6 rating looks a bit harsh. Other films are vastly over-rated in my opinion.
IMDB is an excellent site for information, but I would never use it as a guide to judge the merits of a film based on 'popular opinion.' Each to their own.
