worth seeing?

I would have to say that 'The Hoax' is well worth seeing. Richard Gere turns in the performance of a lifetime. His portrayal of Clifford Irving is right up there with Leonardo DiCaprio in 'Catch Me If You Can', as a fibber, turned pathological, right on the money. Even if you know nothing about Clifford Irving, who wrote a fake biography on billionaire Howard Hughes, it's still a hoot to witness a man who gradually spirals on a downward slope towards his own eventual ruin. Despite the fact that the film hasn't exactly been pulling in crowds (there were all but five folk in tow the night I checked it out), don't let that scare you off. If you have a second run cinema in your area (one that charges a reduced admission price,once the films have played out as a first run feature), chances are it is headed there before 'ere long (if it hasn't already played there).
