Strong start

UNIDENTIFIED has an intriguing premise, and is at its best during the first 20-30 minutes when the mystery is laid out. Most movies begin to lose steam when questions start getting answered; UNIDENTIFIED is another animal altogether. It never really answers questions, but simply pivots away from the initial mystery, which is to the movie’s detriment. Movies from all genres face this problem, but faith-based movies seem to suffer from it the most. I think Christian filmmakers feel if they don’t get the Gospel message in, they’re letting God down. That message IS important, but it has to work within the story, it can’t be forced in.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie and appreciated what the filmmakers were trying to tell/create. I just wish they’d stayed focused more on the mystery.
