2 Different DERN'S have 2 DIFFERENT scenes with MR. K
On the LOCOMOTION topic we discussed how there are 2 DIFFERENT SCENES in IE where DERN says 2 different things to MR. K:
1. IN one VERSION she says she is SHACKING UP
2. IN the OTHER VERSION she mentions HER HUSBAND.
Since we also see 2 DIFFERENT TWIN COPIES OF DERN throughout the story, after she ENTERS THE AXXON N DOOR in the BACK ALLEY of STAGE 4 ...
this also seems to INDICATE how we have 2 DIFFERENT COPIES of DERN who CLIMB the STAIRS and SPEAK to MR. K.
THE 2nd SCENE we see with MR. K ... which CONTRADICTS the FIRST ONE ... can also be found at the 2:15 TIME MARK where we see a REPEAT of the part where she CLIMBS the STAIRS and begins the DIALOGUE again by saying:
THERE WAS A MAN SHE ONCE KNEW ...
A LINE WE'VE ALSO ALREADY HEARD THE OTHER GIRLS DERN finds sitting inside of a ROOM inside of SMITHY'S HOUSE saying before.
Others have also suggested this isn't 2 DERN'S we see that speak to MR. K but merely another different part of the story she tells MR. K.
But if that were suppose to be the case ...
here's another question:
WHY do we also see ONE TWIN COPY of DERN UPSET enough to tell others at the ENTRANCE to the NIGHT CLUB she enters that SOMEONE IS GOING TO KILL HER?
But once she gets INSIDE of MR. K'S ROOM there's NO MENTION whatsoever of this other woman she sees STALKING HER on the WALK of FAME???
IF she's worried that this woman is going to KILL HER ...
WHY does she sit there telling MR. K all of these other stories that have NOTHING to do with her STATE of MIND before she ENTERS the NIGHT CLUB and someone in the CLUB takes her to another back room and then waves their hand to direct her to THE ROOM of MR. K???
Does anyone else find it ODD that DERN would be UPSET one moment about the WOMAN she thinks is going to KILL HER ...
and then SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER the next moment to MR. K about the woman that we see STALKING her on the WALK of FAME ????
Doesn't this FACT also seem to indicate we have 2 DIFFERENT COPIES of DERN who are telling MR. K two different stories???
AND that this is probably also the situation:
1. ONE COCKY COPY of DERN ALREADY KNOWS who the woman is that STALKS her and wants to KILL HER with the SCREW DRIVER ...
and that's probably also why she LAUGHS and MAKES FUN of what we heard the other BLURRY FACE woman saying at the beginning of IE ...
when DERN MOCKS HER and says:
I'M A WHORE
WHERE AM I???
I'M AFRAID
And then the COCKY COPY of DERN ... the one who already KNOWS what HAPPENS NEXT before it happens ... also SNAPS her FINGERS and says:
HEY! WATCH THIS MOVE
BUT there is also the OTHER COPY of DERN:
2. THE OTHER DIFFERENT and LESS COCKY COPY of DERN who TALKS to MR. K and doesn't seem to KNOW who the woman is that we see HIDING BEHIND the TREE ...
or know what this woman is about to do to her with the SCREW DRIVER ...
SO doesn't this also HELP to explain the REASON why DERN NEVER MENTIONS to MR. K how she's being CHASED by the WOMAN in the WHITE SHORTS who wears the FLIP FLOPS ...
the other woman who also and ends up sitting inside of the DETECTIVE ROOM at the beginning of IE ...
where she tells him she's going to KILL someone with a SCREW DRIVER ...
before she pulls up her shirt to SHOW HIM how she already also has a SCREW DRIVER sticking inside of her GUT.
