Two thoughts (Sharon, the walk up the stairway)

Didn't see what Sharon's big appeal was. What was so special about her that everyone was so into her? Seemed quite ordinary and slightly boring.

How did they accomplish the walk up the stairway scene? Seems a lot of clever cinematography went into making it look that good.
