Well, was it any good?

Lets talk, how did you find this episode after months and months of waiting?
Did it deliver?
What moments stood out, and what didn't?
Were they any nuggets that foreshadowed the end?

I liked it. But I've always like their quirky episodes. At first I thought it was about time they had someone to take care of them and loved the scenes where they rushed out to kill monsters and Mrs. Butters handed them lunch bags as if they were catching a school bus. The scene where Jack was wearing rumpled pajamas and Dean in a night shirt and cap was funny. I wish she could have stayed and helped them with their ultimate goal.

Two areas that cleared up some of my questions are, what the telescope did and that Billie had told them that Amara had to be killed along with Chuck.

Also who is/was Mr. Butters???

Mr. Butters...?

I actually enjoyed this one as well. It was nice to see Sam and Dean enjoy some holidays. Even though Ms. Butters kind of went a little south, I liked how they turned that around, especially with Jack seemingly understanding her original plight. Kind of hoping they bring her back before the end of everything as I think she could be helpful. Who knows.

did you see it..?

Well, without spoiling anything. I thought it was good. I'd give it a 8/10 and that's coming from me..the critical one.

There was one thing I didnt buy and another time I rolled my eyes, but other than that.

I've not seen it yet, probably tonight once its taken time to download.
Looking at the pictures I thought it was going to be one of those corny, cringe worthy episodes but judging by your comments both of you appear to be upbeat about it. So all good, 8/10 is a good score to come back with!

After waiting 7 to 8 months for a new episode, some people were probably expecting a Chuck episode, but for me personally, I've been disliking how they write those. I dont want to put all my faith in Dabb, but I also don't want to be too negative. But he said this epsiode was going to be light and then it takes off from there with the battle against Chuck.

I thought it was better for them to come back with some fun, with a hint of caution. And they do mention Chuck and the plan.

What do you think were corny cringeworthy episodes ?

reply

I used to think the meta episodes were really corny, but now some of those on re-watch are some of my personal favourites?

Average episode, one of those throw away ones where had nothing really to do with the main plot line.
After the long wait i was expecting more to be honest, wasn't bad wasn't great just meh.

Have another question. Not sure if I missed it but before Mrs Butters left she said the bunker would go back into standby mode. Are they able to "unstandby" it? It would come handy in their battle with Chuck.

reply

I would have thought so, otherwise the button would be rather pointless if you can't un-do what you've done. That's a scary thought!
