Spring Hiatus?

Does anyone know when the show goes on its Spring break? I know it's around March time. Isn't it off for about five weeks?

reply

I think I saw somewhere March 9th was the last and then returns on April 6th.

reply

Another month break? Boo....

reply

I hate these breaks when you are watching a show in its current season. I love it when you find a show you didn't get to watch originally (Sons of Anarchy for example) and then binge watch the Hell out of it at your own leisure.

reply

I saw it was April 6 too, but now it says March 30th.

reply

people used to call it the Hellatus. Don't we do that anymore?

reply

IDk maybe just the summer break is Hellatus. The mini breaks are just hell.

reply

that sounds right, now that you say it... I have probably forgotten some of the old lingo, like Metallicar, Hellatus, saltgunner, idjit... calling the yellow eyed demons YED... there were a lot of little terms and acronyms like that, back in the day. Were you on the SPN IMDB board in the first 6 or 7 seasons? I went by edsugrue at that time.

reply

Not sure of fan terminology since I am from the UK. The USA, is very different in the way we both say things. Hellatus I believe as Cass said it's the long summer break, but I believe there is a name for the mini breaks which I thought was Hiatus. There are other terms you guys use but have since forgotten them. jfru2 thanks for the dates, that's helped a lot.

I remember a lot of the old lingo too, Metallicar, Hellatus, saltgunner, idjit... calling the yellow eyed demons YED... tommix why couldn't you sign into your old name? why the change of name? just curious.

reply

I just changed my IMDB name because my old one was basically my real name, as one word. I'm not particularly confrontational or nasty on these boards, but some people seemed to take everything as a fight, so I just wanted to give myself at least a little anonymity. I just picked Tommix basically at random. Tom Mix was an early movie star, he did a lot of Westerns waaaayyy back in silent film days, and in the early 1930's.

reply

Bella, can you tell me some of the SPN lingo you use in the UK? That is interesting to me, that there are different dialects of fandom lingo, even in the shared online universe.

reply

Top of my head, off hand, cannot think of any. Will think about it and get back to you on that one.

I totally get why you changed your name. At least I know who you once were and remember. Lately, the board did go that way, and it's not been a pleasant place to be. Certain people can spoil it for others. Which is a real shame? It did get to a point where it made posters miserable.

reply

Metallicar!!!! I forgot that's what we called Baby!
