Robots VS. Wrestlers

Sure Ted went overboard in this episode, but what was wrong with him nerding out a bit? To be honest, his friends seemed more douchy to me than the people at the party. Am I the only one that thought the party seemed like it might be kind of interesting? I don't pretend I could have kept up with the conversation, but I would have enjoyed listening and maybe learning something.
