this show is horrible

I thought it was fairly amusing, not Arrested Development amusing, but still pretty fun to watch.

I guess only time and neilson ratings (gag) will tell

I chuckled at the part where the main character was cashing his check and as he drove off, sang in frustration "Son of a Biiiitch!"

Other than that, I doubt it'll last long.

I'm sure it could last at least a season because there are a lot of guys like him and I'm one of them. At least I don't have friends like his, lol.

lol i already love this show! but.....when is the show airing again? I checked my local fox affiliate and its not scheduled next week..... :|

Curse you FOX! You take some of the most inventive, great shows from us! Why Freaks and Geeks!?!?! It was so good!!! Futurama!! Gahhh!!

The show will go to a second season. Fox rarely cancels shows really quickly, regardless of quality. Come on, Stacked made it to season two. It looks like Fox is pretty high on Free Ride and the Loop, so expect them to be around for a bit. Fox is willing to let shows find their audience a little longer than ABC or any of the other ones.

And Kittybobo, Freaks and Geeks was on NBC, not Fox.

"Fox rarely cancels shows really quickly" that is so crap, fox is notorious for canceling really good shows and leaving the crap. I mean look what the did to firefly, yet as you mentioned they left stacked for 2 season, they drive me insane!!!!Now I have only seen one ep but it wasn't awful. so i give it a 50/50 chance to make it to 2 seasons.

True, but the shows that get cancelled quickly are the expensive shows, almost always hour long drama/action series. Sitcoms are cheap to make, so they have a better chance. Firefly was, like virtually all sci-fi, expensive. Same with a show like Fastlane, but most comedies finish at least one season on Fox, and any show they go die hard into advertising usually gets a second.

Well, except Greg the Bunny didn't last too long.

Anyway, I just caught this show for the first time tonight (the second episode) and I enjoyed it. For the first few minutes, I thought it felt a little off and I wasn't really laughing at anything. But once he started working at the restaurant, I started to get into it. And by the time we got to the end, I was heartily enjoying it and wanted to see another episode.
It wasn't completely perfect, but it definately had alot of potential. I think it needs to reduce the number of quick cuts.
Also, I'm pretty sure I recognized the actress who played Megan (Janet Varney), but her profile doesn't list anything that I would recognize her from. Either it's incomplete or I'm just crazy and have actually never seen her before.
Anyway, I like Megan and hope she sticks around for a few episodes. (Since she's not the primary love interest, I'm afraid she'll fade away silently).
Oh, and the best friend (forgot name) is great too, even though he's a bit of a stereotype.

The pilot was iffy, but Sunday's ep was pretty solid. Probably more laugh-minute ratio than most of the sitcoms currently on. It's an uncomfortable humor, though, so I can see why not everybody is biting.

I say both The Loop and this will get a full season regardless of the ratings. They can only play American Idol and 24 so much. This was a pretty mediocre show but it has the guy who always has a mullet(Ghost World, Bubble Boy, Scary Movie) and he's pretty funny. Way more charisma than the lead. Also Fox knows they're getting so much flack for not giving shows a chance they might just do it for spite since everyone's still crying about how Arrested is in limbo. I at least think this show is better than the Loop which is the most absurd comedy ever and I love the safe setup(4 roommates?) What a nice little Friends setup.
