WORST MOVIE EVER.

I personally feel very angered by this film. I was expecting horror beyond imagination. These movies were supposed to be "TOO SCARY".

W.T.F

Someone actually said that this was scarier than The Shining.

THE SHINING!!!!!!

Obviously they were reffering to the television re-make
(in that case I agree). I had to literally FORCE myself to stay awake. I walked out 1/2 hour before the end. Wishing I had seen Casino Royal.

I give it negative 3 stars and two middle fingers up.

Like other's have said, "to each of their own".

Yeah, I know how people are all psyched, and set up high expectations at most times, but to feel cheated at a movie. M'eh, some films will definately disappoint some folks. Also, I remembered someone stated something about the advertisement, and I thought it was interesting how it says: "MOVIE IS SUCH AND SUCH!" (die for I think?).

By the way, I thought the movie was actually good.

Dumbest.OP.Ever.
Oh wait, that'd be another overstatement because he'd tie with all the others OPs all over imdb claiming that some movie they didn't like is the 'worst movie ever' when it's nowhere near the bottom of the barrel. For bad J-horror remakes you can start off with The Pulse as being a much worse film, otherwise I'd suggest the horribly unfunny Date Movie or going back a few years: Baby Genuises. No matter how much you disliked this film, there are tons of movies I could show you that you should hate a LOT more.

After Dark Horrorfest was a great marketing scam considering the 'scare factor' level of the ones I've seen so far. While not a terrifying movie, I thought Rinne was a good film that did something a bit different (and seems to have a bit of 'The Shining' homage and to a lesser extent possibly some 'Peeping Tom' homage in it). Of Shimizu's non-JuOn/Grudge films, I preferred Marebito personally, though you'd have to work for that one as it isn't spoon-fed to the audience Hollywood-type fare.

i really liked REINCARNATION. the last 10 minutes was the closest thing to Lucio Fulci's heyday I've seen in quite some time. Definitely one of the better of the After Dark horrorfest films.

This is the fourth After Dark horrofest movie I've seen so far and BY FAR the best! After seeing this (just finished it acutally) I can safely say that Wicked Little Things, The Gravedancers, and Penny Dreadful were complete CRAP compared to Rinne!
I loved it! I hope I don't sound like a total sell-out here, but I really hope Takashi directs an American remake of this!

You know this wouldn't be IMDB without somebody claiming any movie of being the worst ever!

IMDB is a kind reminder of why I appreciate the moderaters at GameFAQs.

I fell asleep while watching this On Demand. I'm usually a big fan of these types, but I need more scares.

Tell me, monol22, did you also find it RACIST, by any chance?
Perhaps you WANT THOSE LESS THAN 2 HOURS OF YOUR LIFE BACK,
or something equally original?

You, sir/madam, are my new hero.

Bump. Still sucks.

It was a good movie - something you would expect from this genre of horror. It has taken horror to the next level, or back a few steps when it was about being a psychological thriller and not just about the blood and guts of a film.

OK..after reading this I have to wonder if you saw any of the other Horror Fest movies. If you haven't, maybe you should, 'cause NONE of them were 'Too scary' so I don't see why you're complaining about this one so much. It had a decent story too, maybe next time you should try to pay attention.

Also, its a Japanese horror movie and it's quite obvious you've NEVER seen one, except for maybe the American counterparts. J-horror films build up throughout the whole movie and usually end with some thing amazing. Besides, American remakes are all about scaring the *beep* out of you, which can be good at times, but personally I like the J-horror ones better 'cause at least they're original.
