why all the harshly negative reviews? the "enemy" is corny. but other than that, it wasn't bad. it is pretty scary at times. i got chills from a scene near the end. plus it has a good build. i give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Because the premise assumes a set of reasonably well known scientific facts that a collection of nuts is on a crusade to "debunk".
If someone made an indie film predicated on evolution I'm sure a whole slew of creationists would pile onto it with bad reviews too.
It's not the world's greatest film, but all you have to do is read the reviews to realize these people aren't criticizing the craft of the film; they're just enraged that anybody would dare make a film predicated on anthropogenic warming.
