What will happen Walker?

Now that Gupton isn't returning, do you think they will kill him off? S12 finale was left in a "collision" cliffhanger. The only problem is, Walker wasn't in the SUV that got brutally hit. I think it could go 1 of 2 ways.

1) They take right where it left off/or close and will either kill off Walker, or he'll leave off screen
2) It's a flashforward as they "look back" and Walker didn't make it, or he'll leave off screen

I doubt they will kill him off as they never killed off their team members. Gideon was killed off years after he was on and (if you didn't know) the actor was not a fan of the show....so their was no coming back for him.

I'm not sure what they are planning to do, as this is the first cliffhanger without the "entire" cast returning. I don't think they will take right where they left off, because Walker was in the car that barely got a dent. But if it doesn't take right where it left off, then the cliffhanger was wasted.

Speaking of "Gideon" that guy MP, said something about "I didn't know they would be killing and raping girls every week" and I guess it was too "gruesome" for him. Then he goes off to other gruesome series.
