I love this movie!

I'm a little biased because I wrote and directed the picture,
but it doesn't change the fact that I love this movie.

Snoop is all-time. Mark my words, in the next five years
he will be nominated for a Golden Globe or Academy Award.

Chuuch! Preach! Tabernacle!

I dug the movie. It won't get an academy award, but it was a good representation of the pimp game as it exists today. Til this came out, the only movie about pimpin was the Mack.

Man, I don't care what anyone says: this was a brilliant movie, a true art film from the hood. It reminds me of Fellini and Godard. The cinematography and staging was nuts and very inventive. It is on BET right now, and when I saw the name of Snoop's character--"Corde' Christopher"--it reminded me of Prince's "Christopher Tracy" for "Under The Cherry Moon", another great black art film. Life the BMW credo form follows function, the anti-narrative of Boss n Up reflects the tortured conscious of this hustler who is struggling with the timeless battle of soul and spirit. You are a visionary director and you did a great job with this movie, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Life and Peace,

one of the best hip hop films ever made. snoop dogg's performance was very good, taking into account that he is not an actor.

and a lot of pimpin' philosophy there. really dont understand why the rating is so low..

This is the funniest movie I've seen in ages.

Hawthorne James's over-acting had me in stitches

Snoop calling his old boss a fried chicken eating wannabe Luther Vandross looking mutha****a when he'd actually been pretty decent to him was well funny.

The way it would just randomly jump into musical numbers was proper funny.

Snoop's prosthetic rubber arm when he pimp slaps chardonnay was comic gold.

Snoop in general being Snoop was just funny.

The pimps at the players ball were great, every pimp cliche under the sun covered in 3 minutes.

Snoop kicking game to the new ballers at the end, and mid flow he answers his phone and it kicks into a song. proper funny sh*t

I recommend this to anybody who fancies a laugh.
