Tractor proximity makes no sense

So they are behind this slow tractor. A relatable situation.

Then they manage to overtake the tractor while endangering their lives due to ALL truck and train drivers in movies being complete psychopaths.

I mean, someone is driving right at you on your own lane, clearly trying to overtake something slow, and you won't slow down or swerve even a little?

They always honk, but they never slow down - I don't get it. Any movie you watch with this kind of situation, trucks and trians are like some kind of force majeur, that can't be stopped or slowed down.

In any case, so to overtake something, you need to drive faster than them. This is common sense. You can't overtake something if you drive slower or at the same speed than them.

So this is a fact: they are driving FASTER than the tractor. They overtake it, and continue driving faster (why wouldn't they, when the whole point of overtaking a slow vehicle is that you don't have to be stuck at a slow speed).

For a long time.

They drive faster than the tractor for a long time, so they should be far, far away from it.

Yet, when they turn into the gas station area, the tractor is RIGHT behind them, almost touching their RV, and some other RVs are shown to slowly just be stuck behind the tractor (why wouldn't they have overtaken it?).

This makes NO sense. The tractor shouldn't be so close to them, it should be MINUTES away, and the other vehicles shouldn't be just 'stuck behind it', when they could also have overtaken it.

What were they thinking here? Another pretty much impossible, nonsensical situation in a movie, and this is by the movie's own rules, as so often is the case.

What EVER made you think this would have ANY sense of a plausible storyline?
It is television grade humor with a Hollywood budget.
Have you never heard the expression "a fool and his money" ?
