Breaking Bad...

I watched Little Miss Sunshine tonight for the first time in 5 or 6 years, and I realized something shocking. It starts in Albuquerque, NM and features Bryan Cranston as a businessman and Dean Norris as a cop.

Clearly, it's a prequel to Breaking Bad. One set while Walt was trying unsuccessfully to earn a new family fortune after losing his stake in Gray Matter and before Hank joined the DEA.

It makes perfect sense. I'm surprised they didn't just drop Alan Arkin's body into a 55 gallon drum of hydrochloric acid.

Yes, I thought the same thing too ! Bryan Cranston looked so amazing, wow!

And it's funny that his character's name was Sean Grossman. Reminded me of Saul Goodman.

Wow! I am a BrBa devotee, and I knew about Cranston & Norris in the cast, but I didn't think of the Albuquerque thing, or the "prequel" angle!

Just found Sunshine DVD @ community thrift store & haven't watched it yet.

Coming here to first ck out movie, quite surprised to learn parts of it are actually, a Breaking Bad prequel of sorts. An alternate reality in same setting, where Walt chose business instead of teaching.

Wonder how much Breaking Bad creator was influenced by this movie? After I watch it, will comment more. Wish Aaron was in it. :)

I was thinking "PREQUEL" to Breaking Bad when I saw Dean Norris and Walter White haha!

That's a funny notion. Instead of taking on the name Heisenberg and becoming a drug lord, Walt renames himself Stan Grossman and bilks people out of money by promising to publish their books.

It took me until today to realize that was Dean Norris as the officer.

Maybe that bloody dagger will lead us to the murder weapon.

good movie connection - obviously it proves that Alan Arkin had been poisoned with Ricin in his drugs - Hank also had 'probable cause' in Breaking Bad when he wanted to enter the trailer - it shows how lazy actors are that they just recycle lines like that. .
