I am deeply sorry ..

But I think this film is terrible .. and I consider myself a film-buff. For the first time in my whole life, I have not finished a movie (I stopped at 45 minutes), and it was Scott Pilgrim.
This reminded me of Kick-ass, same kind of leagues, and I hated it aswell.
Don't get me totally wrong, the soundtrack was great, the editing was flawless, I have to admit it was somewhat original, and I did giggle a few times but the rest, oh please, what the hell went through Edgar Wright's head?

I think I expected too much from this movie, I surely didn't expect all the superpowers *beep* and that's why I must have been so disappointed ..

Luckily there are a lot of people who seem to have enjoyed this movie, and I'm glad they did.

to me, it just seemed very unrealistic.

In stark contrast to what exactly?

My problem with the film is it seems like we are supposed to root for Scott despite him clearly being portrayed as a horrible person who is even given a happy ending.

Being a film buff has nothing to do with an individuals tastes and personal preferences. Roger Ebert was arguably the most famous film critic in history, he also gave praise to films like; Knowing (the turd starring Nic Cage), The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Happening, Speed 2 Cruise Control, 2012 and a score of other *beep* films.

Tastes very. I'm sure there's a Film Professor out there somewhere who doesn't like The Godfather, doesn't make him/her wrong, just in the minority of 'popular' opinion.
