Excellent Movie

Just finished watching it and it is worth a look. I really like this movie. Great performances and interplay between two pros--Freeman and Cusak. A familiar story, but very well done and entertaining. You will enjoy it.

They couldn't possibly be serious. I mean if you didn't like the movie that means noone did, right? Who cares if someone you don't even know and will most likely never meet in real life liked a movie you didn't like. Does it affect you in any way? Do random people just randomly say they liked a movie you didn't like on street? No.

The families of cast and crew members have been posting positive comments about this disaster on this DB for a while.

reply

Lol... Jajajaja. I didnt like it at all

You are clearly a moron. This movie was awful. It was not well done AT ALL and the acting sucked.

reply

You are entitled to your opinion, "chik" the name calling is of course the usual route people with your affliction resort to. I agree with the original poster that this was an excellent movie, I was entertained and interested in the characters and their destinies...

reply

Not an excellent movie. Not a good movie. Just a block of time visually camping and witnessing horrible writing...I think the acting is a direct result of the terrible script.

reply

Absolutely agree about the script. I had the same idea as another poster: with Cusack and Freeman how could I go wrong? As it turns out, horribly. Even those two talented veterans couldn't salvage this awful script.

Others have gone on about the many plot discontinuities and implausibilities. I think the worst aspect of the movie may have been the dialog. I was dumbfounded when I watched the interchange between Ray and Frank when Ray threatens Frank, something like:

Ray: "If you try anything I swear to Christ I'll blow your head off!"
Frank: "Are you a cop or something?"
Ray: "Used to be. I teach high school gym."
Frank: "Must be a rough high school."

I have no idea what Beresford was thinking when he directed that scene. As another poster pointed out, it looked like Jr. High drama class.

THIS IS BRUTAL

reply

i thought the movie was great, how can you not like it?

reply

I was bemused why Morgan Freeman and John Cusack got involved in this. Poor fare indeed. I was teased into thinking the film would catch fire eventually and it let me down badly. Was that really the best ending they could have dreamed up?

reply

The script is absolutly awful! I wonder what triggers/switches been moved to make it finally released as a movie?
Simply count the production staff!
The end is really cheap. Example for a good open end: Body Snatchers (Donald Sutherland).
Or for a cool end: Shooter (Mark Wahlberg)

reply

Lol, this comment is almost as funny as the film.

By far the worst film I've seen for about 3 years.

reply

definitely an awful movie from top to bottom.

reply

Aren't writers supposed to establish character motive? Why wouldn't Cusack eventually just handcuff Freeman to a tree? At first they were worried the team would free Freeman & still hunt them down so they wouldn't tell anyone, but once a thousand cops are looking for them, wouldn't the team rescue Freeman, then get the hell out of the woods???

I'm just glad this piece of kraup movie was a free exhange on my BB account.
