So intentionally cruel, I had to stop watching

I'm referring to this scene:

Borat: [indicates women beside him] In my country, they would go crazy for these two.
[points to minister's wife]
Borat: This one... not so much...

I've never been accused of having a temper, but that scene made me angry.
To say that to someone as a joke...unforgivable.

How odd, I had to stop watching because I was in tears of laughter and fell out of my seat during that particular scene.

I find this film hilarious in places and am certainly no prude when it comes to comedy, but I do agree this scene was pretty cruel on the woman, and I probably cringe more than laugh at it. He's essentially calling a nice, innocent woman, she's ugly in front of her face, husband and friends. Imagine how uncomfortable she'd feel.

Unless they were all actors and/or in on the joke. (which was on you )

they were not actors, that is the point of Mr. Cohen humor he is really hurting people -- not pretend hurting

Mr. Cohen is a true a-hole and lots of people lick up what comes out of that ahole

You think that's cruel? Try being called a ni**er. That's certainly happened to me. She can compensate for her looks in various ways, maybe by wearing makeup, getting plastic surgery, having and awesome personality, or giving great BJs, I don't know. But when someone disparages you with a racial slur, you just have to take it. You cant' fight every person who does it. There are worse things that can happen to a person. Get over yourself. Is it cruel? Buddy, we live in a cruel world. I wish we didn't, but we do. Also f-you for making fun of the disabled. They are also people who can't change how they are.

You obviously don't appreciate Borat's (Sasha Cohen) sense of humor, he's a Brit and Borat's antics are equated to Monty Python's brand of English humor which was to be outrageously funny. It's not intending to be insulting.

oh *beep* off.

Borat gives political correctness the kick in the ass it deserves...:)

Yes there was that, then naked dude in photo, and when nothing worked, called a prostitute over. It seemed clear to me he was riling them up and doing worse things when it wasn't working well enough.

At least later they learn it is fake I guess when the movie releases.
