No longer the dog of the franchise

Thank you T.G.

reply

Nah,

T2
T1
T3
*40 feet of *beep*
T5
*20 feet of *beep*
T4

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

reply

If you could make the distance between T5 and T4 we would be in perfect agreement. T5 gave me a slight feeling that someone had read my suggestion 6 years ago: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438488/reviews-821

I don't think it ever was the dog. Unless, of course, you're referring to a Labrador. Love them.

Actors do not have a job...they have a blast!

reply

Most hate Salvation, because, as most audience members can be compared to brainless sheep, want Schwarzenegger to travel thru time over and over and over and over and over and over again.
The same goes to the ones who think T2 is better than the first one.

reply

For me it would be something like this:

T1
T2

T3

TG
TS

The 2 last are abysmal, really. T3 was fine in comparison.

reply

Totally agree with that.

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

reply

I second this, despite TG and TS... TS at least has some purpose to exist, not like TG. TG just messing with all the things we liked about this franchise, that's a fact.

Being a critic is not a real profession, and it sure as hell is not rocket science either

reply

Why all of the T3 hate?

Compared to T.G. and Salvation T3 is good
Compared to the first to it's mediocre

I would argue that T3 is more true to the series than T.S. and T.G.

I re-watched T3 and it was not as bad as I remembered, I actually enjoyed it

reply

You are all sheeple to say Genisys was bad. I am sure you are not true Terminator fans in the slightest.

reply

Even though I previously posted this on the Terminator Genisys board, I'll just simply reiterate what I had said in another thread:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Classic)
The Terminator (Classic)
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (Pretty decent with the crane and bunker scenes)
Terminator Genisys (Has Arnold)
.
.
.
.
.
.
Terminator Salvation (Doesn't have Arnold, don't care about the Marcus Wright character, John Connor taking a backseat to Marcus, the human heart in the machine, PG-13 rating, lack of James Cameron, typical futuristic war movie, shouldn't be considered a Terminator film)

I think they really botched it up when it came to producing this film. Terminator Salvation started this PG-13 trend with the franchise and it went on to affect Terminator Genisys. Now we have Terminators throwing people around and they barely show any blood.

The whole point of Terminators is to, you know, kill their intended targets and anybody who may affect the mission. The T-800 in the original The Terminator movie was ruthless. That's how it should have been in both the fourth and fifth installments.

reply

Interesting, I'd rather watch this than T2. I don't think it's a better film, but I enjoy it much, much more.

Nothing made after Terminator and Terminator 2 even hold a candle to this for me, and I think this is better than the original Terminator.

Laugh, point, whatever.

I found it by far the most believable of all of the films. I'll take it on the chin as a guilty pleasure I suppose.

reply

The more Terminator movies they make the better the first one gets to me.

reply

T2 was cheesy, T3 was pure *beep* genisys was an abomination and one of the worst films ever made.

T1 and Salvation are the only good ones.
