Brockman: Facile, Pretentious, Fake?

Did anyone find the interview with Brockman too facile? I mean he goes:...o yeah...i stepped out of my investment banking job one evening with my banjo and whilst playing in central park i got a job offer to be this art promoter...and i took it. Then I made a lot of money (being a "business" specialist) promoting these acts...etc etc.

I mean it all sounds like malarkey.

In fact, a lot of the interviews seem facile, the backgrounds provided are trite and seem improbable. I don't know if Dammbeck wanted to give his film a "conspiratorial" angle or tone or if he just pounced on his interview partners without notice.

In the DVD extras, there is extensive interview footage of Brockman, but it all seems posed and fake and pretentious.

I went to the website of Brockman (edge.org) and even that website has that flavor too! Maybe it's just Brockman himself?
