VERY unrealistic Freddy Rodríguez being together with Eva Longoria

I agree, Rodriguez was not believably tough in this movie. In fact him and Bale seemed more like wannabe fack-ups from the burbs than guys truly from the hood.
And yeah, while it theoretically could happen, I also found his wife kinda unbelievable. You would think she would have left him or have been planning to leave him, unless shes a rare woman.

It was obvious that they had a lot of history together and that can go a long way in bonding people. And it sounded like Eva Longoria's character wasn't always on the straight and narrow. At one point Bale calls her a sell out.

I've known MANY short people who would beat the tar out of just about anyone walking the face of the earth. 1 prime example would be my grandfather who is just under 5 feet tall and has beaten the ever loving crap out of massive bikers with weapons through out his life. My Dad when he was 14 once headbutted some prick that was hassling him and about 50 thugs from the neighborhood all showed up at the front gate of my Dads family home. There was my Dad, his 3 brothers, his 80 year old grandfather and my grandfather. My grandfather stood at the entrance to the house with a baseball bat and said "send in your biggest guy" and a 7 foot bikey came charging though the gate with a massive chain and my grandfather swung once and laid him out, then 3 more came charging in and were all laid out cold, my grandfather just said "keep em comin'!" and laid out another 10 or more bikey's before the cops showed up and told everyone to leave. I've heard dozens more stories that are all backed up by my Dads siblings. Mad Man Madden my grandfather was known as and NOBODY EVER got the better of him, he would take on anyone of any shape or size and have them begging for mercy. My grandfather was 4"10 inches tall and no more than 80 kilos at his peak weight. That is the height of stupidity for thinking short people aren't tough and clearly demonstrate just how little of the outside world you've been exposed to. Even these days with my grandfather at nearly 80, I'd love to sit you down in a room with him for 10 minutes, you'd be crapping in your pants if you said any BS like that around him.

There are plenty of gorgeous women who date: Loser boyfriends; boyfriends who sit home all day and play video games and eat twinkies; boyfriends who are complete thugs/a55holes; boyfriends who are in prison; boyfriends who are just simply normal guys with pot bellies. People are entitled to be attracted to whomever they want, after all we are all human beings and we do possess the right to choose.

So in this film, Eva has been with Freddy for a long time. As you can see every 5 mins someone asked Freddie whether or not he and Eva was still together.
