I'm watching this movie as sure speak, and I'm not sure.
But looking at him, I'd say he'd make a great candidate for Charile in a theatrical adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Sometimes his voice sounds as if he is reading and not feeling though.

In all honesty, I'm disappointed that Malcom Strumpf has not done more movies. We have to remember that "Wild Tigers" was a very low budget limited vehicle, he can only be as good as the material he has to work with. In this movie, rather than being Hollywood Larger Than Life, he was just Life; just an ordinary introverted kid dealing with things he doesn't understand.
Yes, the movie is a little on the artsy side, and I think that was done to make up for lack of budget. It is next to impossible to shot a legal film for less than $100,000 - Permits, Lighting, Sound, Equipment Rental, Permits, etc..., it all adds up. So, within the limited budget, I think Malcom Stumpf did an excellent job.
Like I said, I'm very disappointed that he did not carry on making movies. Someone was in one of the "Wild Tiger" discussion boards with the name "Malcom Stumpf" and I'm afraid many of the comments were not kind. But being an actor and going on discussion board about yourself, that way lies madness. Very unwise. I hope he wasn't put off. I think he had great potential, and with a larger budget and a better scrip, I'm sure he could have delivered spectacularly.
"Wild Tigers" was made in 2006 when he was 12, that would make him 19 or 20 now. I would love to see a photo of him to see how he has grown up.

Stumpf was born in 1991 so he wasn't 12.
I stand corrected. "Wild Tigers" was RELEASE in 2006, meaning it was probably made in 2004 to 2005. And Yes, Malcom was born in 1991. So, he was, perhaps, a bit older than his character. 2006 = age 15, 2005 = age 14, less likely 2004 = age 13.
It seems odd that I would have said he was age 12, and not calculate it. Still, you are right, he was older than 12 when the movie was made ... most likely.
