I think Rollo Weeks (Scipio) is better.

I thought the actor for Scipio was very bad in the beginning and very good in the end. I thought Prosper was more consistent, so I'd have to say him.

Ok, so i DEFINENTLY think Scipio (Rollo Weeks) is better, i cant even think of a better way to express this so here it goes, Rollo weeks is soo hot!

The guy who played Prop had a tired-looknig face constantly, but he had a great body. Rollo was just prettier overall though. :D

I'd have to say that I liked Rollo a bit more, but they were both really talented.

The only acttors I'd say weren't so wonderful were the young Conte and Contessa, but it could've been the bad dubbing. I was... Well... Not exactly thrilled with the dubbing part.

ok in the acting, yea, the actor that played prop was better. BUT! in the looks department....Rollo Weeks was super hot! did anyone else think he was amazingly hot with his black and white striped shirt and the long coat? you know when all the kids are walking to the church.

I think aaron johnson ( prosper ) was the better actor and he is super cute ! rollo weeks ( scipio ) is also a gtreat actor but i think prop topped it off !

Rollo Weeks is waaaay better. no question. I mean he's soo much hotter, and if they had put him in only his underwear, the movie would have been that much better!

I would say both. Aaron(Prosper) and Rollo(Prosper) are both great actors, though if you look at pictures of the cast together after the movie was filmed, Aaron cut his hair short and Rollo kept his long and to the truth they both look awful. Aaron looks better with longer hair and Rollo looks better with short hair.

quite true. lol Rollo looked like a girl, and I had to think a a while before I recognized Aaron!! anyway, I think they were both great actors. Aaron Johnson a little ahead of Rollo Weeks though.

See, that's just opinion though... I think Weeks is great with long hair and a little less good looking with shorter hair. He seems to look older with the longer hair and younger without it, so maybe that's part of my reasoning... Personally, I think both of the boys are great actors and it's a shame everyone only seems concerned with how 'totally hot' they are.

Definitely Scipio! But I have a question: In loads of comments it says that in the growing up bit of the movie Scipio just looked the same 'cept for fake beard, wig makeup... But on the cornelia funke website i saw the pics and Rollo Weeks definitely resembles Scipio GROWN UP. So I am WAYYYY confused. Does anyone know an explanation to that?????????

aaron johnson def. the 'thief lord' was good, but I think Aaron was more real, and so therefore the better tv/film actor, scipio probably better at stage acting, but aaron is amazingly real no matter what part he plays, good or bad, nice or angry, he can do it all - i really hated his character in feather boy, but that was a sign of great acting, because his character was meant to be dislikable.

ummm...thats a toughie...i think that, looking at other movies, Rollo is a better actor, but in this one, Aaron was better, seeing as his part was a lot more difficult then Rollos and he played it fantastically, but looking at EVERYTHING that both boys have done, i think that Rollo is the better actor.
but im not sure. Rollo is soooo drop dead gorgous and Aaron is terribly beautiful.
urrrgh but if i go by looks, Rollo. i myself just happen to adore the tall, oliveish skin, dark hair and dark eyes.
but Aaron isnt bad, either.

Ok now im just controdicting myself. So why dont you narrow the subject to like which one is hotter, better overall actor, and best character?

Aaron Johnson I think was the better actor. Being a middle aged guy I have no iterest how hot either of them are so am judging purely on the acting. lol

I think that both needed a few more scenes where tehy could show their emotions more. Prosper the sadness and the lonliness he must have been feeling but couldn't show in front of his brother. Equally a scene where Scipio's isolation from his git of a father would have been helpful.
There was one scene during the robbery when Scipio after being confronted by the kids says to Prosper, "You understand don't you?" and as Scipio walks away Prosper says "I'm trying too"
That should have been a key scene for them both where you could see that the two boys were really similar but it didn't come off. I'm not sure if it was down to the scene, the lack or writing or the acting.

I as surprised how little The Theif Lord had to do in the film. I haven't read the book so don't know if he does more in that.

It doesn't really depend on who's hotter, in my opinion. What matters is their screen presence and their talent. And consistency of staying in character, physically and verbally. Personally, Rollo was better at his facial expressions and his tone in the situations he was going through. Aaron was pretty good verbally, but I only saw like.. 3 or 4 different facial expressions. Throughout the entire film. Rollo was kind of a smartass in the beginning, and he still kind of was in the ending. through most of the film, his character held out. They're both great actors, but Rollo is more consistent with his character and does more to work with it.

I've seen 3 of Rollo's movies, where as I was only first introduced to Aaron in this film...overall I'd say Rollo was the better actor, as some others have said before, and I also think he was better in this one simply because his character was more complex and his conflicts throughout the film were more present while Aaron's character had different problems that were more in the past, such as Prosper and Bo's mom had already passed on when the movie began as opposed to Scipio's father always treating him horribly and it was shown the movie as part of the plot. However, if I do ever see Aaron in other films, I will compare overall acting skill (that is, if I remember lol). And as far as looks go, though they have nothing to do with acting skill, I prefer Rollo anyday...

I guess idk they are both such great actors. And they portrayed thier characters extremely well. But I will have to say Rollo (Scipio) because his character had a little more depth and more comflict with everyone learning his secret. But Aaron (Prosper) played his character beautifully.

But look wise I would have to choose Rollo. But I soooo didb't like him with the long hair in some pictures.
But Aaron looks really good in short hair in the pictures that i saw him in.

If I had a dollar when someone gave me an odd look..... I be a BILLIONARE! A cool one!

I think Prosper was better, I liked his facial expressions and stuff. Scipio was kind of wooden at the beginning, but he got better towards the end.

And yeah, Prosper was hot. ^_^
