Why Such a low rating??

The imdb ratings for romantic comedies are all over the place. It seems like ratings tend to be based mostly on the quality of the moral message, rather than on how well made, compelling, or fun the movie is to watch.

For those who think it's because of male voters, you can check out a breakdown of the scores by clicking the number of votes up at the top of the page, beneath the stars. You'll be able to see that females did score this film higher but not by much.

I have no idea why. This is the cutest movie. Sara Paxton is off the charts engaging and adorable. Great movie for kids. I love this movie and I'm a mom. I'm only posting because I'm catching it on tv late at night tonight. It's a 10 for me.

I think honestly that while everything else about this film was done well, it wasn't directed well. To me, it seemed as if it was edited by and for people with ADHD; too fast-paced, and it jumped around so quickly from each scene that not enough time was spent properly developing the characters or their emotions -- beyond all the girly squealing and giggling. Simply, it became annoying in a very short while.
