can someone please explain to me...

so, i just finished watching the episode, "frenched", in which beth and abby go to france for summer vacation and kevin gets that job as a lifeguard? at the end of the episode, there seemed to be a lot more going on between abby and kevin then their status as just friends. at the airport, as he was watching her go, it seemed like they really liked each other! as i looked at the episodes in season 2, it turned out that frenched was the first episode in season 2. the one after that is "vacation", which focuses on what the characters so during spring break. how can a show go from summer vacation to spring break in two episodes? also, why was there no more insinuations that abby and kevin had a thing for each other? after "frenched", they just continued being the same type of frenemies they were in season one.

It's not like it was a romantically-driven show... I don't think they were planning on taking the crush thing very far.

Well, the cruch is also implied in the season 1 episode "bubbleheads". I don't remember if it happens in any other episodes though.

I think the Frenched episode is one of the best, especially because of that touching final moment. The first season was full of moments where Kevin exhibited feelings for Abby, but that was the first time it seemed she might feel something back. It was something of a shame they never went anywhere with it. I almost like to think of that as the final episode of the series, even though five more episodes followed.
